The 'Thorny Devil' is also a sourdough plain rye loaf  with a delicious crust which gave the bread its name, a reminder of the thorny little guy living in Australian desert. Made according to an old recipe with a pinch of caraway powder it leads the way with a great taste.

Caraway (arab.: Karawya)  has been used to prepare medical remedies for thousands of years (e.g. helps to ameliorate tooth-aches and gastrointestinal pain) . First documented in acient Egypt it is believed to be the oldest used condiment in Europe and throughout the Middle East. It adds flavour and character to cheese and bread.
